4.4 Release Notes

These release notes are private to JPMC.

Dremio 4.4 enables any user with theCAN EDIT permission for a dataset to create and manage Data Reflections for that dataset. See Sharing and Permissions for more information about datasets and inherited permissions.

Note:
A Dremio administrator must first enable the reflection.permissions.canedit.enabled support key for your Dremio deployment. See Support Keys for instructions on how to enable a support key. Users may need to refresh their browsers before viewing changes to the Dremio user interface.

Use the following procedures to work with Data Relections.

To create a Data Reflection:

  1. Log in to Dremio Enterprise.
  2. On the Datasets page, click the dataset that you want to accelerate.
  3. Click Reflections on the toolbar.
  4. On the Reflections page, toggle the slider for the types of reflections that you want to create.
  5. Click Save.

To view the Dremio jobs associated with the new Data Reflection, click the history link.

To update a Data Reflection:

  1. Log in to Dremio Enterprise.
  2. On the Datasets page, click the parent data set for the Data Reflection that you want to update.
  3. Click the ellipses (...) to the right of the data and and select Settings.
  4. In the Dataset Settings modal, click Reflections.
  5. Click Save after updating the Data Reflection.
